With Auto Expo 2020 closing today six new SUV’s were showcased this year that will be making a debut in the Indian Automobile market.

MG Gloster
Known as the Maxus D90 in China, MG Gloster will be getting some minor changes to suit the Indian market. The Indian variant will have an in-house 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel unit pushing the power output to 218hp with a peak torque of 480 Nm. The Gloster is big in size with its length hitting the 5 meters mark. Internally, 8.0-inch multi-infotainment system, heated seats and a three-zone automatic air-conditioning will be provided in the SUV. Gloster will be a rival to Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.

Haval H9
The Chinese company Great Wall Motors will be bringing it full-size SUV Haval H9 to India soon. Chinese specification of the Haval H9 gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine with a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission and the Indian model is expected to have the same. Internally, features like the digital infotainment system, multiple airbags with active and passive safety system, hill-hold function and all-terrain control system will be present in the H9 SUV.

Tata Gravitas
Gravitas is the 7 seated version of Tata Harrier and will be launching later this year during the festive months. Even though the new SUV gets the same 2.0L diesel engine like Tata Harrier, it has more horsepower to compensate for the weight gain with 167 horsepower under the hood.

Tata Hexa Safari Edition
With the new BS6 norms coming to India in April 2020 Safari will no longer be continued however Tata will be ensuring the legacy doesn’t die and will be bringing an SUV Hexa named Tata Hexa Safari Edition. It will have a 143hp 2.2 Litre Varicor engine and will only come in all-wheel drive.

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace
Tiguan Allspace, basically a longer version of already available Tiguan with added an extra row. the engine will be a 2.0-litre TSI outputting 187 bhp,320nm and will be paired with a 7-speed DSG. It will be a 4 Motion all-wheel drive. It is expected to launch in March 2020 with a price tag of 35 Lakh INR.

Skoda Kodaiq
Debut at Auto Expo 2020 Skoda Kodiaq uses a 2.0 Litre TSI 187 bhp, 320Nm engine. The transmission system is a 7 speed DSG which is automatic. The SUV expects its release at the end of 2020.
These full-size SUVs are sure to shake the market up when they launch and will challenge each other.
