The Iconic and much-awaited Bajaj Chetak has finally made its comeback in an electrified avatar. The Bajaj Chetak electric is being offered under two variants namely Urbane and Premium and supports has a price tag which ranges between Rs.1 lakh and Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
As of now, the Bajaj has confirmed that the sales for the Chetak electric will be restricted to via the company’s KTM dealerships in Bangalore and Pune.

On several previous occasions, the company had promised to commence the deliveries for the Chetak electric from February. However, according to recent media reports which state that the deliveries of the Urbane variant have been pushed to May 2020.
The designated Urbane variant supports a BLDC Bosch developed motor capable of delivering a power output of 3.8kW and 4.08kW with 16Nm of peak torque. Additionally, the electric motor comes paired to a non-removable IP67-rated 60.3Ah lithium-ion battery which eventually offers a range of 95 km in Eco-mode and 85 km in the sports mode.
On the styling front, the neo-retro look seems to Vespa. Other additional features on the Chetak electric include a fully digital instrumental console, various keyless operations and the list goes on.
With its launch, the all-new electrified Bajaj chetak will rival the likes of the Ather 450 and the Vespa Elettrica.
