JDM Surprise: Best Modified Honda Civic In The Country

A lot of petrolheads think of JDM cars as a guilty pleasure. But, honestly, no one can resist the sound of a tuned VTEC kicking in, and Honda Civic remains a perfect starter pack for people who want to modify a budget-friendly JDM car.

Civic is the most iconic car from the house of Honda and the most fierce competitor to the infamous Toyota Corolla. It was shown to the world in the late seventies but came very late to India in 2006. However, enthusiasts welcomed it with open arms when it arrived, and it became a cult favourite in no time.

This dapper Civic has some tasteful mods which make the enthusiast turn their heads in amazement. The pops and bangs from the exhaust are the reason for its name: Greynade. A full-fledged racing seat, cold air intake and flashy lights make this a one-off creation in India. This Civic is done right from the bumper to the rear wing. Watch the video to know more.

You might think the whole car is painted, but it is wrapped in a unique shade known as Tiffany Green. It is an NKS Type 1 body kit with vents from many sides for better aerodynamics around the car.

The engine also runs on Stage 2 remap, which takes the total power figures to 155 bhp and 190 nm of torque, a 30% increase over the stock numbers. Using fibre material (hood & boot) has helped keep overall kerb weight low. Also, there are no rear seats, which properly screams that it is a purpose-built racecar for the streets.

The one-off Honda Civic takes less than 7 seconds to reach the 100 KMPH mark and stops well with the help of massive Dixel rotors and brake pads. The owner has thought of turbocharging it shortly, which may take engine output to the next level. When going down the road, people can hardly resist the urge to have a glimpse of it, and it looks like nothing else on the road.
