M4 CS carries 20hp more than the M4 Competition, while the 650Nm peak torque remains the same.
BMW has unveiled the M4 CS (Competition Sport) in India tagged at ₹ 1.89 Crore (ex-showroom). A step above the M4 Competition, the M4 CS stands out with several mechanical upgrades, boosting performance.

BMW M4 CS: Powertrain, Performance
It flaunts the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo L6 engine as the M4 Competition but delivers 550hp, due to an increase in turbo boost pressure from 1.7 bar to 2.1 bar. The torque remains unchanged, but the power band extends from 2,750rpm to 5,950rpm. The M4 CS can go from 0 to 100km/hr in 3.4 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the Competition. This CS model has an electronically limited top speed of 302km/hr.

The car is 20kg lighter, with titanium exhaust silencer and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts. It is also equipped with lighter alloy wheels with 19-inch front and 20-inch at the rear. Other tuned enhancements include stiffer engine mounts, improved cooling, powertrain upgrades and increased oil supply to the clutch for better 4WD track performance.
BMW M4 CS: Exterior, Interior Design
The M4 CS stands out with yellow-tinted DRLs, a red-outlined kidney grille, and bronze wheels.
It features a flat-bottom Alcantara M steering wheel (an optional addition in the M4 Competition), and M carbon bucket seats. The head-up display gets M-specific graphics, with a dedicated M Mode button on the centre console, that enables direct access to the settings options for the engine, chassis, steering, braking system, and all-wheel drive.
The car also gets the latest iteration of BMW’s curved display with a 14.9-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and the latest BMW Operating System 8.5. Other subtle unique touches include red ‘CS’ lettering on the centre console, M seat belts, carbon fibre finish on interior trims, M4 CS door sills, and more.
The BMW M4 CS will be rivalling the Audi RS5 and the upcoming Mercedes C 63 S e-Performance in India.
