Lexus has launched the new version of the NX SUV. This version of the SUV is BS6 compliant. With other automakers making BS6 compliant cars ahead of the deadline, Lexus is nowhere behind. The automaker has started making BS6 compliant versions starting with the BS6 NX SUV. A new entry-level variant- Exquisite has also been added to the NX lineup.

The new vBS6 variants of the Lexus NX SUV will be priced between Rs.54.90 lakhs and Rs. 60.60 lakhs. Here is the variant wise detail of the lineup:

The earlier version of the Luxury variant was BS4 compliant and was priced at Rs. 58.20 Lakhs. The BS6 version is priced at 59.90 lakhs now. This shows that the price difference is about Rs.1.70lakhs. Lexus has also announced the local assembly of the NX SUV. Therefore, we can expect these prices to drop a bit. Engine
The Lexus NX SUV is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine that works along with a 143hp electric motor. The engine generates 155hp and the power is sent through a 6-step eCVT gearbox. The engine and motor combo provide 197hp of power.

Features
In terms of features, the top-spec variant of the Lexus NX SUV gets heated front seats and steering wheel, a 360-degree camera with front and rear parking sensors, auto headlamps and wipers, wireless mobile charging, eight-way adjustable electric front seats with driver-side memory, a head-up display, steering-mounted paddle shifters, an electric tailgate and a 10.3-inch infotainment screen. Further, the safety kit in the Lexus NX SUV includes eight airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control and an anti-theft system.
