The Honda Activa BS6 edition was launched earlier this month. Now Honda has come up with another BS6 model in its lineup. It’s the Honda Dio. The stylish scooter from Honda has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 59,990/-. Apart from the new BS6 powertrain, the Honda Dio BS6 has also received changes on the design, features and suspension elements.

The new BS6 Honda Dio is available in 2 variants. The base ‘Standard’ trim costs Rs.59,990/- and the second variant which is known as the Delux variant costs Rs 63,340 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Honda Dio has grown in terms of size if compared to the previous edition of the scooter. The length of the scooter has increased by 27mm. Also, the scooter has grown wider by 13mm and taller by 17mm. The Dio gets an all-new wheelbase of 22mm. The BS4 version of the Honda Dio had a 10-inch front wheel. The brand has replaced this with a 12-inch wheel which now forms the front of the latest version of the scooter.

Though the scooter has got the new styling elements, it retains the overall style statement. This makes it look like the Honda Dio which is familiar to the Indian audience already. The new Honda Dio BS6 gets signature LED position lamp and split grab rails. The new digital instrument cluster on the scooter displays information about the range, distance to empty, average fuel efficiency, real-time fuel efficiency etc.

The Honda Dio BS6 comes with an engine start-stop switch and a dual function switch. This switch is for the user to access the under-seat storage and the external fuel lid. There is a new feature which lets you cut the engine off when the scooter is on the side stand. Last but not the least; the new Honda Dio BS6 is now offered in 7 new colour schemes!
