Hyundai has started taking booking for the BS6 variant of the Hyundai Elite i20, Venue and the Grand i10 Nios. These three car models will be released before 1st April 2020 (When BS6 emission norm roll out). The Hyundai Elite i20 rivals the recently launched Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz and the segment-leader Maruti Suzuki Baleno in the premium hatchback segment. The now BS6 Compliant Hyundai Elite i20 petrol Rs 15,000 costlier than the preceding model. Moreover, Hyundai has decided to remove the base-level Era and top-spec Sportz+ CVT and Asta (O) CVT variants from the lineup.

- The Magna+ is the new base model for the BS6 Elite i20 which is priced at Rs 6.49 lakh.
- The Sportz+ petrol variant has been offered at Rs 7.36 lakh.

- The top-of-the-line Asta (O) CVT petrol model costs Rs 8.30 lakh

Hyundai hasn’t commented on the arrival of the BS6 diesel variant of the Elite i20 however, we speculate that the BS6 diesel version will make its debut in the upcoming 2020 Hyundai i20 this year.

BS6 Hyundai Elite i20 Engine
The official figures of the BS 6 compliant 1.2-litre engine on the Elite i20 haven’t been revealed yet. The old BS4 engine delivered peak power of 83bhp and a maximum torque of 114Nm.
