The SUV will now be offered in four trims, S5, S7, S9, S11. The current BS4 Mahindra Scorpio offers two more options S3 and S11 AWD which seems to have been discontinued. this pushes S5 to be the lowest trim effectively increasing the SUVs price. The trims in themselves are not expected to receive a huge price increase.

Mahindra Scorpio | Engine Specifications

As Mahindra seemed to have scrapped the S3 option it means the end of 2.5L diesel engine used by Scorpio. The engine ported over to BS6 is the 2.2L mHawk diesel engine. This engine outputs two different powers, 120bhp with 280Nm and the other being 140bhp with 320Nm.

The new entry-level trim S5 will get the 120bhp engine mated with 5-speed manual gearbox while the rest of the trims will get the 140bhp engine with 6-speed manual gearbox.

There is a lot of variation in the features every variant is getting. Every trim except the S5 gets projector headlamps. the top trim S11 gets reverse parking camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights. safety features, however, are present in all the variants. These safety features include dual airbags, panic brake indication, seat belt reminders, ABS, auto door locking system.

Mahindra Scorpio | Price

No official numbers have been released but the following suit from what Mahindra did with XUV300 a price hike is likely but not by a big margin. There is currently no rival of Scorpio and Mahindra can peacefully enjoy a monopoly in its segment increasing prices might hamper that. Booking is expected to start after the lockdown ends.
