As April 2020 has already started and all the automakers have already shifted to the BS6 emission norms. Morris Garages has made another big announcement at this time where the BS6 MG Hector diesel is out and we finally know what you will have to pay to get one! MG had already upgraded the BS4 version of the Hector to comply with the BS6 norms and now it was high time to give the diesel an update too! We will not let you wait further and would like to inform you that the Hector diesel now starts at Rs.13.88 Lakhs and goes up to Rs. 17.73 lakhs.

The BS6 MG Hector diesel has got a price increase of about 40-45,000 across all variants. Talking about the engine, it is the same Fiat-sourced diesel engine and will continue to develop 170hp and 350Nm of torque. The gearbox is still a 6-speed manual. The Hector diesel doesn’t come with an automatic gearbox option as of now.

Talking about the features on the BS6 MG Hector diesel, the things remain unchanged. Features are exactly the same as they were on the BS4 model. Obviously, the engine needed to be changed and MG has done it for sure! For instance, the entry-level variant Style comes with the basic features like projector headlamps, steel wheels, a height-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning with vents for the second row, a reclinable rear backrest, an audio system and remote locking. On the other hand, the top of the line variant gets powered front seats, auto climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate and the company’s iSmart connected-car technology.
