Citroen is already having a good run in the Indian market, and it seems as if the OEM has got big plans for the coming years, with 2 new launches slated. Here’s more about it.
The Two Flag Bearers
With the Citroen C5 Aircross pushed as the first product, the French automaker introduced its second offering in India on 20th July; the Citroen C3. Standing as a premium hatchback, C3 is offered in two trims; the Live and Feel offered with a 1.2 litre NA petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbo mill with a 5-speed MT with the NA petrol and a 6 speed MT with the turbo unit. While it is too early to decide how much of a success the C3 is, it’s time to talk about the second flag bearer.

If reports are to be believed, Citroen will further expand its portfolio with an electric vehicle that is confirmed for 2023. Dubbed to be the electric avatar of the C3 hatch and will be heavily based on the CMP platform. When launched, the electric vehicle will surely lock horns with the Punch EV, which too is currently under development. In fact, if you are a Citroen fan then we’ve got the news. The OEM has also confirmed that it’ll bring in its fourth product in India as well, sometime in 2023. While not much is known about that, we are sure that Citroen being Citroen will change the game quite a lot.
