- The teams arrived at Melbourne Circuit a couple of days to the main race.
- The daily health check routine of all the teams revealed that a team member of a McLaren racing was tested positive for Coronavirus.
- McLaren was the first team to withdraw its entry into the Australian Grand Prix.
FIA’s Decision
- This forced FIA the F1 governing body to take it into consideration, as coronavirus was a global danger.
- Before any team could go further the race and all the events associated with it were postponed from this weekend.
- This was done just to know that the main race was called off.
- The fans had a really time digesting the news at the 2020 Formula 1 came back after 5 months.
Further Commitments
- It is still unclear when the next race will be held because Bahrain Grand Prix is postponed and if it takes place it’ll be without spectators.

It is really sad that Coronavirus has gone to the next level as the event cancellation is not just restricted to F1. NBA, Cricket matches, Golf, Olympics all have been either canceled or postponed.
