The Hyundai i20 N is the latest announcement from the Korean automaker in its performance series. Hyundai uses the N-Line as the performance division vehicles and the i20 is the latest one to join the performance bandwagon. This will be the first performance-oriented i20 N and will be launched anytime in the coming half of this year. Hyundai is currently in the final testing stage of the i20 N. THis will come with a 204 hp 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine. The Hyundai Veloster currently carries this engine that comes connected to a 7-speed DCT. We can expect the same gearbox to make it into the i20 too.

Along with the 7-speed DCT, a 6-speed manual gearbox is also expected to arrive in the Hyundai i20 N. The torque output that can be expected from this hot hatch is around 260Nm. Hyundai released the teaser for the i20 N a few months ago. The teaser suggested that the car will look more or less like the normal 5-door new i20 that will also arrive soon. But due to the high-performance capabilities, this one would require a better cooling system. Therefore, Hyundai has modified the bumper and the front grille on this one. This distinguishes the N-Line from the normal hatch and at the same time, helps in cooling the engine as well!
