Kia has officially unveiled the EV9 electric SUV in India, priced at ₹1.3 crore (ex-showroom). Only available in the premium GT-Line trim, the EV9 is now Kia’s flagship model in India, above the EV6. This luxury electric SUV is available as a CBU.

Kia EV9: Exterior, Color and Interior Styling
The EV9 features vertically stacked Ice Cube LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, and a closed-off grille with integrated digital lighting. At the rear, it sports vertical LED tail-lamps with a clean tailgate, a spoiler and a dual-tone bumper with the following overall dimensions:

This premium SUV comes with 5 paint job options: Pebble Gray, Panthera Metal, Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, and Ocean Blue.
In the interior, It offers a dual-screen setup with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. It gets a four-spoke illuminated logo steering wheel and storage space under the centre console. The dual-tone Brown and Black interior adds luxury to the spacious cabin.
Kia EV9: Features and Safety
EV9 carries a 6-seater layout with captain’s chairs in the second row. It offers electric adjustments, massage functions, and leg support. Additional features include three-zone climate control, Kia digital key 2.0, dual-electric sunroofs, a head-up display, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, 64 dual colour ambient mood lighting and Over-The-Air software updates.

Safety highlights include 10 airbags, vehicle stability management, ESC, front-side-rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, and a 360-degree camera. Level 2 ADAS with 27 autonomous features like forward collision warning and avoidance assist, lane keep assist, high beam assist, lane keep assist, further safeguard passengers.
Kia EV9: Powertrain and Range
The India-specific EV9 is powered by a 99.8 kWh battery, delivering 384 hp and 700 Nm through dual motors in an AWD setup.
It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in 5.3 seconds, with an ARAI-certified range of 561 km. Charging from 10 to 80 % takes just 24 minutes with a 350 kW DC fast charger.
Though lacking direct competition, the Kia EV9 rivals other luxury electric SUVs like the Mercedes EQS SUV, BMW iX, BYD Seal and Audi Q8 e-tron.
