The EV trend has engulfed not only the Indian market but also the international ones. And despite the market is international, our very own Mahindra is all set to capture the EV sentiment with its new Electric Pickup Truck. Here’s all we know about it:
Mahindra Electric Pickup Truck
In a bid to rule over the North American market, the Mahindra is gearing up to launch its very own electric pickup truck on 15th August. Rendered earlier this year, Mahindra had teased as many as 5 SUVs of varying sizes that will be unveiled on the 15th of August in the UK. Designed by UK-based Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE), the Electric Pickup is going to be one of the 5 SUVs teased and will cater to the North American Market.
Under the leadership of Pratap Bose, Mahindra will embark on a new journey in terms of design and technology that offers zero emissions, with Mahindra North American Technical Center handling the engineering part.
While not much is known about the Mahindra Pickup, what we know is that it can be based on the modular platform that will incorporate the component sharing tie-up with Volkswagen Group. Per the partnership, Mahindra will also be using critical EV parts and components from the German giant’s MEB electric platform.
In terms of technical details, we expect all three SUVs to offer both single and dual motors with a range of over 400 km. Further details about the EV Co. are expected to be revealed during the world premiere of the 5 new EVs next month.
