Design
The Mahindra XUV700 electric, or the Mahindra XUV E8 was showcased as a prototype recently. The design remains similar to the existing XUV700, however, the details are completely changed. For starters, the grille, bumpers, wheels, and cuts across the SUV seem more futuristic. It gets LEDs throughout the hood and the tailgate. The front DRLs drop down further towards the foglamps, making the car look future ready.

The battery on the Mahindra XUV700 Electric
The XUV E8 will most likely feature a dual motor setup, which will be powered by a 60-80 kWh battery. Expected power ranges between 230-350HP. Depending on the drivetrain (FWD/RWD/AWD), the range should lie between 400-500 KMs.

Is the Mahindra XUV700 Electric a better version?
The electric variant will surely be a step up from the existing variant. It will most likely feature Level 2 ADAS, 5G connectivity, and more contemporary features. As the world moves to a carbon-free environment, EVs will definitely take over. Therefore, there’s no doubt that the Mahindra XUV700 Electric will be a better version of the already spectacular variant.

Pricing and launch
Built on the INGLO platform, the XUV700 E8 should reach Indian roads by early 2025. Pricing will most likely lie between Rs. 25 – 30 Lakhs (ex-showroom). With the Mahindra XUV700 Electric, eSUVs like the MG ZSev and the Hyundai Kona might face a really tough time in the market.
