Here’s another wonder from India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has just unveiled a new version of India’s most trusted hatchback, The Maruti Suzuki WagonR. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR flex-fuel edition was showcased at the SIAM Ethanol Technology Exhibition in New Delhi.
- The all-new Maruti Suzuki WagonR Flex fuel will be India’s first mass-market product that can be operated on 20-85% ethanol blended fuel.
- If and when launched, this WagonR will be the very first Indigenous flex-fuel car.
Do we get to see any major changes?
- Well, there are some major upgrades on this eco-friendly car
- It starts with a revised engine management system, upgraded fuel pump, fuel injectors, and engine components.
- It also gets a new Fuel system with heated fuel railing ethanol sensors.
- These upgrades will help it reduce the tail pipeline emission by almost 79% compared with its current pure ICE model.
- Although, the showcased model is just a prototype and might be different if launched.
- Maruti has also claimed that it will be launching its flex-fuel segment by 2025.
- The brand also claimed that its entire lineup will be E20 compliant by the end of 2023
- Not only flex-fuel, but Maruti has also shown its inclination towards other eco-friendly alternatives like CNG and bi-fuels.
- Maruti currently has the largest CNG lineup in India, It is also focusing on building its hybrid line-up.
