Mercedes S 580 Maybach: What’s New?
The S 580 Maybach receives a significant upgrade with the return of rear-axle steering up to 10 degrees, improving handling for the large sedan.
Mercedes initially included it in the 2021 S-Class launch edition but removed it in locally assembled models. It remained available in the imported S 680 Maybach, which makes its comeback a valuable addition for S 580 buyers.
The new centre airbag between the front seats and Manufaktur Rubellite Red exterior with a Macchiato Beige/Magma Grey interior round out the updates.
The 4.0-litre V8 engine in S 580 Maybach produces 496hp, while the S 680 Maybach uses a 603hp, V12 engine. This luxury automotive now costs ₹2.74 crore—₹2.05 lakh more than its predecessor.
The updates improve safety, luxury, and drivability for Mercedes’ flagship sedan lineup.
