The wave of electric vehicles gave grappled the entire nation, including new-age start-ups across the nation. The result is the new Eas-E EV, PMV’s new compact electric quadricycle, and here’s everything you need to know about the new EV in town:
The EAS-E EV
The brainchild of Indian start-up PMV Electric, the Eas-E EV is the brand’s first electric four-wheeler, which is a quadricycle much like the Bajaj Qute. The vehicle is a compact and affordable alternative to EVs such as the Tiago EV. Launched at a price of Rs. 4.79 lakhs (ex-showroom), the pricing is introductory for the first 10,000 customers.

Features and Details
Being a compact EV, the Eas-E is a two-seater vehicle that can seat a driver as well as a front passenger. Measuring 2.9 metres, the Eas-E EV is more compact than even the entry-level hatch; the Alto 800. Nonetheless, the vehicle still retains a monocoque chassis with metal body panels.
In terms of features, the Eas-E EV is topped with interesting features such as smartphone parking features that can enable the vehicle to move forwards and reverse via a smartphone. The feature can be operated from inside the vehicle as well from the multifunctional steering wheel. Other goodies include touch infotainment with Bluetooth, electronic ORVMs, power windows, connected car tech, an air conditioner and a digital driver’s display.

Safety, Powertrain and Specs
Despite being a quadricycle, the PMV Eas-E gets ample safety equipment such as seat belts, a reverse camera, and a driver airbag as well. In terms of specs, the EV is powered by a 48V Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack that is structural to the vehicle’s body frame. Even though there isn’t any official information as to the capacity, the EV can be had in multiple range variants; 120km, 160km and 200km. The battery can be juiced by a regular domestic 15A power socket in about 3 to 4 hours.
The front-mounted motor of the EV can produce 13.5 PS of power and 50Nm of torque, which is quite lower than conventional hatches, but the EV can still manage a top speed of 70 kmph.
Booking Details
The EV is up for grabs at PMV’s official website by paying a token amount of Rs 2,000. The vehicle starts at a price of Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom), which is limited to the first 10,000 customers. The EV has already gathered 6,000 bookings, so hurry up if you want one for yourself!
