Indian car buyers have become quite aware bout safety, especially in the last 2 years. People are actively seeking cars with advanced active and passive safety features. This has started ever since Indian companies Tata and Mahindra began sending their cars for a Global NCAP crash test. Recently, the Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite also went through this crash test, and both scored a 4 Star Safety Rating!

How the Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite scored 4 Stars
The Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite, both are high on safety features. Features like advanced ESPs, hill-hold assist, 360-degree cameras (only on Magnite), front parking sensors are present on these cars. These features, coupled with 4 airbags (2 on Magnite) and a solid build helped these mini-SUVs score a 4-star rating in the recent Global NCAP Crash Test. The Magnite has also scored a 4 Star rating in the ASEAN NCAP crash test.

Other features on these cars
Both these cars boast some serious features. They get a wireless system for android auto and Apple CarPlay, front parking sensors, rear-armrests, cruise control and much more. For the price at which these can be picked up, these features are pretty good to have. They also get soft connected car features wherein you can access the cars via your phone or even your smartwatch!

Other safe cars in the segment
In this segment, the Tata Punch is another safe car. It has scored a 5 Star Safety Rating in the GNCAP crash test. It comes in at a starting price of Rs.4.99 Lakhs. The Nissan Magnite starts at Rs. 5.76 Lakhs and the Renault Kiger starts at Rs. 5.79 Lakhs.
