But for the car guys, the happiness is to find a rare vintage car in a barn or garage somewhere. The joy of finding such a car is unmatched by anything. Let us take a look at 5 such rare car finds people have found in places across India. Have a look.

1. 1938 DKW F7 Coupe Cabriolet 

   

   This car was recently spotted in a garage in Bangalore. This barn find was actually a front-wheel-drive family car powered by a 600cc/700cc engine. This particular car we are talking about is in a very pristine condition considering the age of the car. It has got all original, from wheel caps, exterior paint, interior upholstery, steering wheel to headlights.

2. Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600TI

   

   This car found in Amravati, Maharashtra dates back to around the early 1960s. The saloon car is powered by a 1,570cc 4-cylinder engine capable of producing 90hp of power @6,200rpm. Most of the car seems to have retained the original state. It is great to find such Italian car racing in this good condition. The TI in the name is a short form for ‘Turismo Internazionale’.

3. 1932 Plymouth PB

   

   Found in Karnataka, this Plymouth 7-seater sedan was found in a rather not-a-very good condition. Every original part was available though. The dry weather in the area hindered the formation of rust, a plus point for a barn find car such as this. There were only 2179 units of this car ever produced. Such a rare find. And the car has been restored back to its glory.

4. 1959 Chevrolet Impala

   

   How can the Chevy Impala not land on this list? This 1959 Impala was found in a garage somewhere. This wonder is in a mint condition with only a missing carburettor and tyre replacement required. The 1959 Impalas are sought after a lot due to their rear fins. All the parts o the car are original from the upholstery, carpet to the engine itself.

5. 1947 Daimler DB18

   

   This saloon was found in a garage in Mysore. This 4-door 4-seater saloon is powered by a 2.5-litre 6 cylinder engine capable of producing 70hp of power. The engine was mated to a 4-speed pre-selector gearbox. This garage find also seems to have a lot in original parts which are really essential and decide the real price of a vintage like this.
