Tata Motors’ new Curvv coupe-SUV has earned a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP for both the ICE and EV versions. While both variants excel in adult and child occupant protection, the Curvv EV slightly outscored its ICE counterpart. The diesel-powered Accomplished + A variant and the Empowered + A EV trim with a 55kWh battery were tested.

The Tata Curvv ICE achieved 29.50 points out of 32 in adult occupant protection (AOP). It scored 14.65/16 on the frontal offset deformable barrier test at 64km/hr and 14.85/16 on the side moveable barrier test.
For child occupant protection (COP), it earned 43.66 out of 49 points, with 22.66/24 in dynamic tests, 12/12 for CRS installation, and 9.0/13 for vehicle assessment. These ratings cover all ICE variants of the Curvv.

Tata Curvv EV BNCAP crash test scores explained
The electric variant of the Curvv bagged 30.81 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection (AOP), with 15.66/16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 15.15/16 in the side moveable deformable barrier test.
In child occupant protection (COP), it secured 44.83/49, including 23.83/24 in dynamic tests, a perfect 12/12 for CRS installation and 9.0 out of 13 in vehicle assessment. These ratings apply to the entire EV lineup, available with both 45kWh or 55kWh battery packs.
