The battle between ICE and EVs has just got more fierce as Indian autogiant Tata Motors is all set to roll its pawns in the market. This started with the recently launched Tata Nexon EV and now Tata is preparing to launch the Tata PUNCH EV in the electric realm.
Much recently a new test mule of the Tata Punch.ev was spied testing on Indian roads and with that, there were some new revelations on some of the new offerings on the new Punch.ev.
- Starting with its exterior, it seems to have taken a few accents from the recently launched Tata Nexon EV.
- However, not a lot is expected on the exterior front just as we saw on the EV versions of the Tata Tigor and the Tiago EV.
- Diving into the interior, we get to see a lot more features than its ICE cousin.
- Locking eyes on the dashboard, we see a new 10.1-inch infotainment system and an auto-dimming IRVM.
- There also sits a new two-spoke steering wheel taken from the existing Nexon.
- Its instrument cluster resembles the likes of the existing one from the Tata Nexon facelift.
- We also get to see new square wheel arches, roof rails, 90* opening doors and new rear disk brakes.
- It is expected to come with two battery options with a maximum range of over 300 km.
- Coming to the commercial structure of this electric menace, it is likely to be priced between INR 7.99-10.59 lakhs.
- Talking about rivals, currently, it will battle with its sole competitor in the Indian market, The Citroen eC3.
- However, in the coming time, we will be able to see a couple of more entrants in the same segment like Hyundai Exter and the Casper EV.
