Tata Sierra grabbed many eyeballs in the Indian edition of the Auto Expo. The Sierra concept was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. Vivek Srivastava, the marketing head of Tata Motors confirmed in an interview that Tata Motors holds the capacity of producing the Sierra Concept if required.
Tata Sierra is the electric SUV concept showcased at the expo. This electric SUV is a throwback to the ultimate and iconic Sierra of the 90’s era. Sierra was one of the best and legendary SUVs that have ever existed in India. FYI, it was the first car that was made in India that had plenty of features that made the SUV look premium and feel premium too! The SUV had modern age features at that time which made it stand out amongst others. On the styling part, the Sierra had a boxy design which made it unique and helped grab attention among the competition. The highlight was its rear cabin. The rear cabin of the Sierra looked like a glassroom with large windows.

The real motive behind showcasing the Sierra Electric SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2020 was Tata Motor’s 75th anniversary. The team wanted to pay a tribute to the iconic Sierra on their anniversary so they developed a revamped avatar of the SUV in its electric form.

The showcase of the Sierra concept at the Expo was basically a feasibility study. The Suv has already received a great response with so many people talking about it already. The Sierra electric concept was based on the Tata’s ALFA ARC platform that already is in production as it underpins the Tata Altroz as well. The Tata Sierra SUV will have a range of 300kms in a single charge if goes into production.
