Toyota Innova Hycross Makes its Debut in India

Japanese auto giant Toyota has finally revealed the next generation of its iconic MPV, The all-new Toyota Innova Hycross. The new Hycross was first revealed in Indonesia under the name Zenix on November 21st, 2022.

• It is expected that the new hybrid MPV is bolder, smoother, and better than its outgoing model.
• With that said, the Toyota Innova Hycross is speculated to launch by the end of this year, As the brand has announced its deliveries to begin in early January 2023.
• Following the footsteps of its fellow competitors in the country, Toyota has shifted its focus from Diesel to petrol.
• As the next-gen Innova Hycross now offers a single 2.0-L pure petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox.

• After facing quite a lot of criticism for not abiding by the RDE norms, it was time for Toyota to do away with its Diesel line-up.
• The new Innova Hycross is based on Toyota’s 5th generation hybrid tech (M20A FXS)
• With its new Hybrid tech and refined engine, it will offer a best-in-segment fuel efficiency of 21kmpl.
• Coming to its cosmetic upgrades, The new and improved Innova Hycross takes its styling cues from the Toyota Avanza Veloz MPV.

• On the Inside, We get to see an improved dashboard with an updated 10.1-inch floating Infotainment system, dashboard-mounted gear lever, rectangular AC vents, and a stack of HVAC controls.
• It also gets a first-in-segment panoramic sunroof with roof-mounted ambient lighting and AC vents.
• The Innova Hycross also offers a ground clearance of 185mm

• It will be available with a 6&7 seat configuration from January 2023
• With the Innova Hycross, Toyota has finally entered the ADAS market.
• Astonishingly, the Innova Hycross is also the brand’s first MPV to be based on Monocoque Construction.
• The New Kia Carnival, Kia Carens, Maruti Suzuki XL-6, and the Maruti Ertiga rival will be offered in 5 variants.

• The top-spec variants are will have all the bells and whistles like connected car tech, ventilated front seats, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control (front and rear, a powered tailgate, and paddle shifters.

• A few unique features on the Hycross include a powered tailgate, dual-functioning DRL+ indicator, surface-emitting LED taillamps, and tri-LED headlamps.
• While the mid and base spec will come equipped with fewer features.
