The Urban Cruiser is the second product of the Toyota-Suzuki joint venture after the Toyota Glanza which is the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

What does the Urban Cruiser offer on the mechanical front?
- The Urban Cruiser comes powered by a powerful K-series 4-cylinder 1.5 L petrol engine churning 105hp with 138 Nm of peak torque.
- The engine will come with a standard 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
- Interestingly, the new young SUV also gets an advanced li-ion battery with ISG reserved for the AT variants only.
What’s new on the outside of the all-new Toyota Urban Cruiser?
- It features a dynamic 2-slot wedge-cut grille with chrome inserts, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, high-mounted LED stop lamp and split LED taillamps
- It also features LED fog lights and a set of dual-chamber LED projector headlamps with a dual functional LED DRL-cum-Turn indicator.

- On the inside, we get to see a 7.0-inch Smartplay touchscreen system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-tone interior, auto climate control, rain-sensing wipers, Toyota badging and new premium leather upholstery.

- Toyota is yet to reveal the prices of the Urban Cruiser, but rumours suggest that it could range between ₹8-12 lakhs (Ex-Showroom).
- With its launch, the new compact SUV is expected to rival the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the Ford Ecosport. The Urban Cruiser will also rival with the upcoming Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger scheduled to launch around the same time.
