Mercedes-AMG has recently introduced the Concept PureSpeed, a stunning addition to its lineup, embodying a perfect blend of Formula 1 technology and robust road performance. This two-seater speedster is based on the SL roadster and marks the first model in the upcoming, exclusive Mythos series.
Design and Features:
The PureSpeed features a radical open design, lacking both a roof and windscreen, replaced by an F1-inspired HALO system. This not only enhances safety by protecting the occupants’ heads during accidents but also contributes to the vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency. The design includes racing-inspired decals and an aerodynamically optimized body, emphasizing its motorsport heritage.
Performance Specifications:
Powered by a 585 hp twin-turbo V8 engine, the PureSpeed is built for sheer performance. The absence of conventional barriers like a roof or windscreen allows an unfiltered sensory experience of speed, making it a true driver’s car.
Safety:
The innovative HALO system, derived from Formula 1, is a standout safety feature, providing superior head protection in the event of a collision. Moreover, the vehicle includes specially designed aerodynamic helmets, enhancing both safety and the driving experience.
Availability and Launch:
Limited to only 250 units, the PureSpeed is exclusively available to select Mercedes-Benz collectors, emphasizing its uniqueness and exclusivity. The expected delivery of these vehicles is slated for next year.
Price in India:
While the exact price for the Indian market hasn’t been disclosed, it is expected to be in the premium segment, reflecting its exclusive features and limited availability.
