Recently, Xiaomi founder Lei Jun surprised everyone by showing off the full-carbon prototype of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra during his 2024 Annual Speech last night. This is a performance version of the SU7. This car is built to set lap times on tracks. The main target is the Nürburgring track in Germany. China’s newest car, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, is the first to have its HyperEngine V8s installed.
Three Xiaomi-developed motors—two ‘V8s’ and one ‘V6s’—power the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype. It is very ironic to see the V8 and V6 names for an Electric motor though. Together, they produce a maximum of 1548 horsepower.

Aim of The Nürburgring
Around the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife track in October, the company wants to break the lap record.
In the four-door electric car class, Xiaomi wants to set a new record at Nürburgring. Now, the Volkswagen ID.R, which has a lap time of 6:05:33 minutes, is the fastest electric car around the Nürburgring. With a time of 7:07.55 minutes, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT is the fastest four-door electric car around the Nürburgring.
More About the Car
Xiaomi designed the SU7 Ultra Prototype’s motor completely in-house and also worked together to build track-level battery technology. It also comes with the first second-generation Kirin battery in the world. Xiaomi wants to put these technologies into mass-produced cars in the future. The SU7 Ultra is notably wider and longer, due to its performance body-kit, than the standard SU7, while featuring the same wheelbase.

It is expected the same from them in terms of their cars. They made this car to break records and they will do everything to break it.
