The 2020 Honda City was recently spied testing without any covers. Honda has said that they have cancelled the media event for the launch of the new car as we all know about the COVID-19 which has scared the world by now. Therefore, to avoid public gathering, Honda has decided to postpone the launch of the sedan in India. Now, we can expect the 2020 Honda City to launch in India in April 2020.

Stating the 2020 Honda City launch event, an associate said, “We had been closely monitoring the situation related to the enormity and seriousness of COVID-19. Given the Government advisory and more specifically today’s advisory from the Goa government, I wish to inform you that we have cancelled the test drive event.”

The new 2020 Honda City will be available in 3 variants as per the reports suggests till now. The new version is wider than the predecessor but has got the same wheelbase of 2,600mm. In the Indian market, the BS6 compliant Honda City will make its debut with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and we can also expect a similar diesel engine which will enter the market relatively later. Reports also suggest that Honda is planning on a petrol mild-hybrid version also. The 2020 Honda City will have a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox according to what we know till now.
