July should be renamed as the month of new launches. You ask why? as it was just yesterday when Chinese owned British automobile manufacturer MG launched the all-new MG Hector Plus and today South-Korean carmaker Hyundai has launched the 2020 Hyundai Tucson facelift. The new Tucson facelift first made its debut at the Auto Expo 2020.
Although the mildly upgraded Hyundai Tucson facelift was scheduled to launch somewhere around April or May, due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic the launch had to be postponed to a later date and now after almost 3 months, Hyundai has finally launched the mildly updated Tucson facelift in India with prices starting from Rs 22.30 lakhs. So lets that if the 2020 Tucson facelift is worth its price or not.
2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift | Engine Specification
Just as before the 2020 Tocon facelift will continue to get its power from its previous 2.0-litre petrol and diesel mills which are now compliant to the BS6 emission norms.
Both the engines are capable of generating 152hp with 192Nm of peak torque and 185hp with 400Nm of peak torque respectively while paired to a standard 6-speed manual transmission and a brand new 8-speed automatic gearbox. Additionally, the Tucson GLS which also happens to be the top-spec diesel variant also gets an optional All-wheel-drive as well.

2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift | Features
After having a brief look at the new Tucson we could find any major changes on the outside. However, it does feature some mild updates including a slightly tweaked cascading grille, a new set of massive 18-inch alloy wheels, redesigned LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, LED elements on the taillamps, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wiper and hands-free tailgate opening.
The most notable changes have been made on the inside as it features a freshly designed dashboard supported a new free-standing touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The new infotainment system also comes equipped with over 50 connected features, Hyundai’s signature BlueLink connected car technology and to finish it off is style the interior is covered with premium-looking leather upholstery. While the multifunctional steering wheel and the instrument cluster seems to have been carry forwarded from the previous model.
Other additional features on the inside include a wireless charging pad, a panoramic sunroof, an Infinity sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, powered front seats. The Safety package on the new Hyundai flagship includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, electric parking brake with auto-hold, hill start assist, and hill descent control, ESC and rear parking sensors, vehicle stability management and an adaptive parking camera.
