It looks like the Indian automotive industry is in for a big influx of Maruti Suzuki vehicles. What’s the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno?
Launched back in 2015, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has since then become one of the best-selling hatchbacks in India. But with new and modern competition coming in every few months, an update was long overdue. But as per the latest updates, it seems as if Maruti is ready to launch the 2022 Maruti Suzuki early next year.

What does the spy shots reveal?
As per the latest spy shots, it is sure that the Baleno is about to get a major evolution in terms of looks. Key components such as the headlamps, tail lamps, DRLs, grille, and bumpers are all in for an update. A new set of alloys can also make their way onboard. Overall, from the latest spy shots, it seems as if the Baleno has become much sportier than it already is. As per the shots, the hatchbacks will also come with all-new black ORVMs, as well as black door handles, adding contrast to the white paint.

Any mechanical changes?
Despite the exteriors looking like a hearty upgrade, mechanically, the hatchback is expected to remain unchanged. It will continue to offer the same old 1.2-litre VVT motor, and a punchier 1.2-litre Dualjet, Dual VVT engine. In terms of power, the engines make 82 and 89 bhp respectively, with 113 NM of torque for both engines. In terms of transmission, the 1.2-litre VVT gets a 5-speed manual and an automatic CVT, while the Dualjet engine gets a mild hybrid system and a 5-speed manual as standard.
