The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the most selling hatchback in India. It has not received any significant updates in the time, but a facelift was spied testing. Maruti was working on a facelift for their winning contender for a while, and now the unveiled timeline says it is coming next month.

Engine Options
There are no mechanical changes to the current powertrain, but two engines are offered. A 1.2L naturally aspirated making 83hp 110Nm torque and another 1.2L dualjet engine making 89hp & 110Nm torque along with SHVS mild hybrid system.
The transmission will be unchanged, and the current 5-speed manual & CVT will be on offer.

Cosmetic Changes
Baleno will get a set of reworked bumpers and a slightly aggressive front. The front grille is more expansive than before and extended till the headlights. The headlights are also tweaked and appear L-shaped. The LED DRLs housings will be a projector set up for the top variants.

The side profile has been kept unchanged, but the rear has been revised. Taillights are sharply split, providing a sleeker look than before. The tailgate has also been reworked, and the car stand son freshly cut alloys.

Interior
Baleno is also getting a new dashboard inside, with a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. The aircon vents have been adjusted to accommodate the larger screen, and the new dash gets aluminium elements inserted.

The design is layer and slightly upmarket than before; it borrows the flatbottom steering from its sibling Swift. The MID is also revised, and the infotainment system will be equipped with connected car tech. It might also get climate control, cruise control & automatic headlamps & wipers.

Pricing
Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the facelifted Baleno next month. The price is expected to be slightly hiked than the current version, which starts at ₹5.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
