.Maruti Suzuki Swift, one of the best-selling as well as among the cars with the longest production history is about to get even more exciting. Maruti Suzuki Swift is currently in its third generation and by the news floating, will enter its 4th generation sometime in 2023. There are a whole lot of changes that we expect from this new generation of Maruti Suzuki Swift. Let’s have a look at what can come with the new vehicle in India.
Expected Features in the new Maruti Suzuki Swift
Maruti Suzuki Swift has always been a go-to hatch for many purposes, including the petrol heads. Hence Swift will get more features than the one currently sold. The new features include an improved instrument cluster and a bigger infotainment system that also comes with the new Baleno and Brezza. Along with that, Cruise Control, Traction Control, and maybe a Heads-up display will be on offer. As the Swift sits one step lower than the Baleno, we anticipate not all the features from the Baleno will make it into the new generation of Swift.

What will power the new Maruti Suzuki Swift?
Like the new Baleno, the new Swift is highly likely to be powered by the same engine. It is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated dual-jet petrol engine that generates peak power of 88bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. And like before, we don’t expect the hatch to come with the dual jet turbo petrol engine. Nevertheless, powering the front wheels will like to be an option of either a 5-speed manual transmission. As an automatic gearbox, the car is likely to get a 5-speed AGS automatic, which is essentially an AMT.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Price and Launch Date
As a conventional automotive manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki will increase the price of the new Maruti Suzuki swift. Currently, the ex-showroom price of the hatch starts at Rs. 5.91 Lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 8.84 Lakh. But considering the new Baleno and its price hike, we think Maruti will increase the prices. So, the price hike of the new Swift is expected to be from Rs 40,000 to Rs.1,00,000 depending upon the variant.

A fully-camouflaged car was recently captured in a few spy photos by Motor.ES. It is clear that the automobile under the covers is the next iteration of the well-known Suzuki Swift (Maruti Suzuki Swift) based on the overall silhouette and size of the vehicle. Although this vehicle has been spotted on European roads, the new model will initially be released in Asian markets like Japan and India. From the images, the camo car looks production ready.
As of now, the company had not revealed the launch date. But we think the company may globally unveil the new Swift at the end of 2022 followed by the launch in 2023 AutoExpo.
