Here are the fastest cars (supercars more like) in India by homegrown brands. So, here is the list of supercars that are completely based out of India.

#1) DC Avanti – The OG Fastest Car To Be Made In India!

DC Avanti has been made by DC design, a group headed by Dilip Chabria.  It is India’s first supercar that was unveiled in 2012, and later discontinued due to the low demand. Although it was marketed as an affordable supercar, it was actually appropriate to call it a 2-seater coupe.

The two-seater coupe was launched at a price of 34.17 lakhs accompanied by an engine of turbocharged 2 litres that made an output of 250 bhp. This made it one of the fastest cars to be made in India, especially for those who looking for a supercar under a budget!

#2) Pininfarina Battista (By Mahindra)

The Pininfarina Battiata is a premium hybrid electric supercar built by Automobili Pininfarina (which comes under Mahindra). It was launched back in 2019 at the Geneva Motor show. Under the hood, it houses a 120 kWh battery and can do the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2 seconds. Fun fact – It is just slower than by 0.1 seconds from the current record held by Tesla Roadster)!

#3) Vazirani Ekonk Electric Hypercar

Mumbai-based car startup Vazirani Auto, unveiled one of the fastest supercars, the Ekonk. The Ekonk is a car totally based in India! It is a single-seater EV hypercar which claims 0-100km per hour in just 2.5 seconds. it claims a top speed of 309 km, which is respectable for an EV.

Also, this Indian supercar company, made the lightest car to be made in the world, due to its carbon fibre body, with a weight of 738 kg only! It has a very low drag coefficient too (in its category) thanks to its aerodynamics!

#4) Mahindra M9 Electro Gen3 Formula – E

The Mahindra M9Electro Gen3 Formula E car is expected to debut at the Good wood festival of speed on around 26 June (in the U.K.). According to Mahindra, Gen 3 would be the world’s most efficient race car, capable of generating 40% of the power it uses during the race, just from its regenerative braking system!
