Honda City
One of India’s favourite C-Segment sedans for ages, the Honda City is known not only for its overall feature-rich offerings and good looks but also for its to the point driving dynamics. Offered with a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel mill, the City zooms from 0 to 100 in about 10.20 seconds making it one of the fastest sedans in India under 15 Lakhs. Mileage wise too, the City impresses with its mileage of up to 24.1 Kmpl.

Kia Seltos
The toughest competitor of the Creta, and perhaps one of the only few ones that managed to shake up the segment, the Kia Seltos is truly one of a kind. Offered with a 1.5-litre NA Petrol, a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel mill, the Seltos gets engines identical to the Creta. Nonetheless, the Seltos sprints faster with 0 to 100 timings of about 9.97 seconds (1.4 turbo). All that without hampering the efficiency which stands at up to 16.5 kmpl; which is not bad for a large turbo unit.
-
Hyundai Alcazar
Another Hyundai vehicle on our list, the Hyundai Alcazar is one of the fastest sizable vehicles in the market at present, at least in the sub 20 Lakh bracket. Available with 2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel, the Alcazar impresses with its speed with a 0 to 100 sprint of about 9.5 seconds that too from a large 2-litre petrol unit. Despite the speed, the mileage on offer is up to 14.5 kmpl which is superb considering the engine is quite big.
So these were 5 fast and fun to drive cars with great mileage onboard. As is evident with Polo, Vento now discontinued and Ford already bidding goodbye to the Indian market, OEMs like Hyundai and Kia have dominated the scene when it comes to cars that are fast as well as efficient.
