Now, Mahindra has finally revealed the prices of the all-new BS6 compliant XUV500. The new version now starts at Rs. 13.2 Lakh for the base W5 variant and goes up to Rs. 17.70 Lakhs for the top-end W11 variant. No, we didn’t miss the W3 trim. W5 is the new bar trim for the XUV500 after Mahindra has decided to let go of the W3 in this update. The BS6 compliant XUV500 costs 29000-32000 more than the BS4 counterparts.

The Mahindra XUV500 BS6 is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk engine that produces 153bhp and 360Nm. This engine is coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox along with an option of 6-speed AMT. The BS4 version of the XUV500 had an AWD version but the BS6 version hasn’t got that update yet. Besides the engine upgrades, there are no changes related to the equipment. The safety equipment includes dual airbags (goes up to 6 airbags in the top-end variant), ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert, ESP, hill-start assist and hill-descent control.

The Mahindra XUV500 BS6 comes loaded with a host of features too. These include a sunroof (on the W11(O)), keyless entry, automatic climate control, 7.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, leatherette upholstery and powered driver’s seat. The XUV500 currently competes against the Tata Harrier and the MG Hector in the Indian market.
