As we enter into the third phase of the lockdown situation, the lockdown 3.0 guidelines have divided the country into 3 zones depending upon the number of Coronavirus cases that each area has got. Talking about stepping out for non-essential things, the Union Home Ministry has provided huge relaxations depending upon the zone you are living in. The Green-Zones have received the maximum relaxation including the movement of public transport. However, the public transport remains suspended in the Orange and the Red Zones.

However, two people can ride one two-wheeler in the Orange and the Green zones. Cabs are also allowed in the Green and Orange zones but can be booked by a single person only to ensure the maximum people inside the car don’t exceed 2. The public buses are now operating in the Green Zones with a 50% seating capacity to ensure social distancing.

The movement in the green and the orange zones is allowed from 7 AM to 7 PM only for the non-essential activities. Lockdown 3.0 guidelines, however, don’t have anything new for those residing in the red zones of India. Social distancing still remains the key for everyone. All the citizens above 65, pregnant ladies and children below 10 cannot be out unnecessarily.
