Top Selling Compact SUVs June 2021

If you are a regular reader, you might have gone through the sales report for the month of June 2021. We have also put up an article about the Top 10 most selling cars for the same months. Now that we have already done that, today, we want to take you through a segment that is really popular in India. Here, we will talk about the top-selling compact SUVs for the month of June 2021.

  1. Maruti Brezza (12,833 Units)

    On the top of the charts is the Maruti Suzuki Brezza with a sale of 12,833 units. This compact SUV has been one of the most successful cars in the segment. Although it is available in a petrol-only engine option as of now, still, it is in first place among the top-selling compact SUVs in June 2021. Talking about the YoY growth, we have Brezza’s figure as 183%!

  2. Hyundai Creta (9,941 Units)

    The second one on our list is the Hyundai Creta. With a sale of 9,941 units in the past month, this ultimate SUV is going places for sure! Launched at the Auto Expo 2020, the Hyundai Creta has been the top-seller and there are very few instances when Kia Seltos has been able to beat this machine in terms of sales. This time, it ended the month with. YoY growth figure of 38%.

  3. Kia Seltos (8,549 Units)

    Just after the Hyundai Creta, in our list of top-selling compact SUVs, we have its twin brother, the Kia Seltos. This is essentially the same car under the hood but looks do matter here. Well, this time, Kia Seltos ended up selling 8,549 units which are 20% more than what it sold in the same month last year.

  4. Tata Nexon (8,033 Units)

    Following the Kia Seltos in the list of top-selling compact SUVs for June 2021, we have the Tata Nexon. With a sale of 8,033 units, Tata’s safest compact SUV in town is the one that has shown a YoY growth of 164%. Achieving over 100% is a really great thing and Nexon has done the same for us!

  5. Kia Sonet (5,963 Units)

    The 2021 Kia Sonet is a major update that all of us needed. With this update coming in, Sonet was able to record a sale of 5,963 units which is a very good figure. The only bad part here is that we have got nothing to compare it with. This is because it was launched in September 2020 which is why there is no June sales figure available.

  6. Hyundai Venue (4,865 Units)

    In 6th place is the Hyundai Venue which is behind Kia Sonet in terms of sales. The Venue also has been a really successful car in its segment but as soon as Sonet arrived, it gave a tough competition. For June 2021, Sonet has won the sale game. Let’s see what happens in the coming months.

  7. Mahindra XUV300 (4,615 Units)

    Moving on, we have the Mahindra XUV300 on our list of top-selling compact SUVs for the month of June 2021. This car has also been one of the top-selling vehicles in the segment. Additionally, it is also safe as it has got 4 star NCAP rating which makes it even more value for money. The XUV300 ended up June 2021 with a sale of 4,615 units. In the same month last year, this car sold 1,812 units which means a YoY change of 155%!

  8. Ford EcoSport (3,511 Units)

    We hope this mild facelift gives this SUV a little sales push as it is struggling a lot as of now. The Ford EcoSport is due for a facelift for a long now. Considering all the rivals have some or the other USP which let them sell more than this American compact SUV who started the trend in India. What do you think, why EcoSport’s sale is dipping? Just to let you know, this one has also shown a 190% YoY growth but still in the last rank!

      Yes, Maruti Suzuki is still on to when talking about car sales numbers. But comparing Tata Nexon with Kia Seltos doesn’t do justice as both the cars belong to a completely different segment.
