The Indian audience has an obsession with features such as a sunroof and extensive chrome added to the exterior. There was a time when sunroof was among the premium features, but now hatchbacks such as the i20 and XUV300. Even panoramic sunroofs have made their way into the market and are available for under 20 lakhs. Let’s look at the most affordable cars with a panoramic sunroof:

  1. Mahindra XUV700

    First, on our list, we have the ultimate SUV, XUV700. It was launched last year, and it has received immense booking since the launch. Due to the high demand and chip shortage, the waiting period has been 18 months for some variants.

    It also comes with a panoramic sunroof, premium features, and ADAS technology. The sunroof is available from the AX5 variants that cost about ₹15.49 lakhs with the petrol engine and ₹16.09 lakhs for the diesel engine.

  2. MG Astor

    Next on our list, we have the MG Astor. Astor is the IC engine variant of the already running ZS EV, also recently updated. After the XUV700, Astor was the one to come up with ADAS technology.

    The top-end Sharp trim is offered with a panoramic sunroof, and it costs ₹14.28 lakhs. Among other features such as the level 2 ADAS AI assistant, Astor comes with a dual-pane sunroof for an affordable price.

  3. MG Hector & Hector Plus

    Hector is the most popular car from MG’s lineup and has been selling well compared to other cars they offer. Hector has been performing well in the mid-sized SUV segment. It might not have the best fuel efficiency, but it is known for its comfort.

    Along with the comfort and features such as internet inside, it also comes with a panoramic sunroof with its top variants. The Sharp variant is priced from ₹16.63 lakhs, and buyers can choose from a 6/7 seater configuration with the Hector Plus.

  4. Tata Harrier & Safari

    We have Tata’s flagship SUV, which has a road presence of a tank, Harrier. It has the most appealing looks along with a great interior. Rumours say that an upgrade is also in the works, and Tata will add features like ADAS.

    It has versions such as Camo & Dark, and it comes with a panoramic sunroof available from the XZ+ variant. The XZ+ variant will cost about ₹18.75 lakhs, and buyers can also choose the 7-seater version, Safari.

    Hyundai’s top performer in the mid-sized SUV segment is the next candidate on our list. Creta has been among the hot-selling cars since 2019 and has established its presence and market share in the segment.

    The SX variant starting from ₹13.46 lakhs, is the most affordable one you can get with a sunroof. It also offers a panoramic sunroof, among other features offered and a comfortable cabin. One can also choose between a 6/7 seater version known as the Alcazar that offers a better interior.

    The last candidate on our list is the American SUV Jeep Compass. Compass is on a higher side when it comes to the price, but it is worth the money with the features & capabilities offered.
