Many daily wage workers are trying to walk back to their homes in this situation. This is not only creating an unsafe environment for them, but also for their villagers who are already there in the villages.

Apart from the Buddha International Circuit, the officials have identified 20 other buildings in the Jaypee Sports City which can be a shelter to the workers. This step can be a great step in helping those who are trying to walk back to their towns as the government has announced a 21-day lockdown.
An official at the Buddha International Circuit who also knows about the other places in the Jaypee Sports City said “As of now, we have identified the facility. We will figure out how many persons can be accommodated here on Monday. We are creating these facilities so that stranded migrants in Gautam Budh Nagar can use them till April 14, 2020,”

The recent news about the Buddha International Circuit was about it’s sealing due to a 600Cr financial due on the authorities. This step to house the migrants has been taken under Chapter 12 of the Uttar Pradesh pandemic COVID-19 guidelines, 2020, said an official. Beds, mattresses, toilets and other facilities will be provided at the circuit to all the migrants until the country is under the lockdown.
