Let’s now have a look at individual brands’ car sales for the month of February 2021.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (1,44,761 units)
Not really difficult to guess, Maruti Suzuki ended up selling the most number of cars in February 2021 too. This Indian brand sold 1,44,761 units in the last month. Considering February has got only 28 days, this sale figure is commendable! Well, we don’t know which car sold the most but we guess Swift must be leading the car sales chart. Hyundai Motor India Limited (51,600 Units)
The next-gen Hyundai i20 has already won the Indian Car of the Year 2021 award, Hyundai is all set to see more and more car sales in the coming months. For the month of February 2021, Hyundai ended up selling 51,200 units which are 5,500 units more than what this Korean brand sold in India in Feb 2020. This calculates to be 11.93% YoY growth!

Tata Motors (27,225 Units)
This Indian car manufacturer is really delivering an exceptional performance and sale number in India. Although they are still at the third rank in terms of top-selling car brands, we hope they will climb to the second rank really soon because they are developing some really good cars! Safety, a factor which was ignored by the Indian car manufacturers for a long time, is finally into consideration now and Tata is the one who is delivering safer cars for India! They ended in February 2021 with a sale of 27,225 units.

Kia Motors (16,702 Units)
The Hyundai sibling brand is not planning to introduce more cars in India anytime soon. With Seltos, Sonet and Carnival in their lineup, Kia Motors is still going places in India. Although Seltos continues to be a successful car in the Indian market, Sonet has recorded an all-time high sale number in several months of 2020. Well, February 2021 was an equally good month where this brand sold 16,702 units with a YoY growth of 6.76%.

Mahindra & Mahindra (15,391 Units)
Another Indian brand that has been selling in good numbers in India. All the muscular SUVs manufactured by Mahindra are loved by Indians and therefore, are bought and driven in huge numbers! For February 2021, Mahindra sold 15,391 units and reported a YoY growth of 40.71%! That’s huge!

Toyota Kirloskar Motors India Ltd (14,075 Units)
This Japanese brand finally saw something good in the month of February 2021. Toyota recorded the highest monthly sales in more than 2.5 years! We can definitely say that this month was a very good one for the Japanese brand. Be it the Fortuner facelift or the evergreen Innova, Toyota never fails to sell. However, the Urban Cruiser and the Glanza are also playing their part in capturing the budget audience!

Renault India (11,043 Units)
One of the emerging car brands in India in terms of sales. The Indian customers are now buying Renault cars in good numbers which is why we see Renault in the top 10 in our car sales report for February 2021. Renault ended February 2021 with a sale of 11,043 units and recorded a YoY growth of 25.72%. Renault is definitely growing slowly, but steadily!

Honda Cars India Ltd. (9,324 Units)
Following Toyota in the brand sales report in February 2021, we have Honda Cars India Ltd. where we already know that Indians love to drive City but this time, Amaze has also shown a considerable increase in terms of sales. Honda ended in February 2021 with a sale of 9,324 units which calculates to be a YoY growth of 28.27%.

Ford India (5,775 Units)
The American brand is known to deliver performance in a particular price range. Sadly, Ford is experiencing a downfall in the Indian market in terms of sales. For February 2021, Ford ended up selling 5,775 units which is 17.72% less than what they sold in February 2020. Ford ended at 9th place in the car sales report February 2021

Morris Garages India (4,329 Units)
Last but not least, MG is on the 10th rank on our car sales report for February 2021. MG India ended up selling 4,329 units in the last month reporting a YoY growth of almost 214%! Yes, you read that right. Do we need to say more? We don’t think so!
