Citroen is set to launch its second product in India. The C3 will be their first affordable product in the Indian market. Citroen will sell it in a petrol-only version powered by a 1.2-litre engine available with both naturally aspirated & turbo variants. While bookings are expected to open around next week, let’s look at the variant-wise features:
Engine

It will be powered by a 1.2-litre engine which will be offered in two tuning stages. The turbo variant will be churning out 110hp & 190Nm torque while the naturally aspirated variant churns out 82hp & 115Nm torque. Both engines will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, but the turbo variant might also be mated with a 7-speed DCT. It has a more extensive wheelbase compared to the competitors, and it is even more significant than other compact SUVs such as Venue. This would make a highly spacious interior with added legroom.
Variants
Coming to the variants, it will be available in the following two variants; Live & Feel. The 82hp engine will be available for both variants, while the 110hp turbo-petrol engine comes only with the Feel variant. Citroen also said that they would offer a great deal of customization along with the C3, which means optional additional packs catering to specific cosmetic upgrades for both interior & exterior.

It will be available with 4 mono-tone & 6 dual-tone colours as follows: Polar White, Zesty Orange, Platinum Grey, Steel Grey, Polar White with Zesty Orange roof, Platinum Grey with Zesty orange roof, Polar White with Platinum Grey roof, Steel Grey with Zesty Orange roof, Zesty Orange with Platinum Grey roof, and Steel Grey with Platinum Grey roof.
Features
While the Live variant will have body-coloured bumpers, halogen headlamps, gloss black ORVMs & an optional dual-tone roof. The interior will have black upholstery, black AC vent borders & satin chrome accents for gear knob & aircon controls.

On the other hand, the Feel variant will come with gloss black roof rails, remote keyless entry, height-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt steering, front skid plate & wheel arch cladding. Safety-wise it will be equipped with ABS, EBD & dual airbags.
Expected Price
While Citroen has not officially revealed the pricing yet, we expect it to be priced between 7-12 lakhs. It will be competing with other cars such as Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. It is expected to launch in the next month. What do you think about the Citroen C3?
