Maruti Suzuki Swift is among the cars in the Indian Market that wrote the success story of the company in the country. May 2005, was when the company launched another hatchback, Maruti Suzuki Swift in the country. Never did they think that it would last for more than 15 years. But as of now, Maruti Suzuki is in its third generation in India. This third generation was launched in 2018 and is still going strong. Moreover, the company gave the third-gen Swift a subtle facelift in February 2021 and has remained the same since.
Now the question comes, is it worth buying the Maruti Suzuki Swift in 2022? Let’s find out.
Although Maruti Suzuki Swift seems to be an old car in the market with some limited features and design, it sure has a lot of things going for it. Here are some.
The Engine
In Feb 2021, Maruti Suzuki updated the engine in the Swift and gave it the more powerful and efficient dual jet 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine. Now, the Swift in its segment boasts of the most powerful engine and also the one with the best NVH levels.

Torque | 113Nm@4,400rpm |

Well, considering it’s a Suzuki, the engine is also super tuner friendly. Meaning the car customizing and racing community still use either a Suzuki or a Honda. Swift with this K-series engine is super potent and can be tuned correctly to extract more power.
Also, along with being powerful, the engine is super efficient.
