16-months ago Hyundai launched new Elantra in the Indian market. The car didn’t get the appeal it deserved. Now Hyundai launches the new Electra in the International market. Will it come to the Indian market or when it’ll be coming? let’s find out.
Powertrain and transmission | Hyundai Elantra
Like Hyundai’s line up this car also gets a variety of engines.
- 2.0-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated Petrol engine which is mated to a CVT transmission.
- This time Hyundai Elantra gets a hybrid powertrain for the first time which comes with a 1.6-liter GDi engine and 32kW motor giving the combined output of 139hp and 264Nm torque. The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed Dual Clutch transmission.
- A 1.5-liter diesel engine is also an option.
- Depending upon the trend Hyundai later might launch an exciting turbo petrol engine.
Design | Elantra
All the new cars from Hyundai like Aura, Creta, New Sonata follow a certain design scheme. Elantra is no different.
Exterior
- The new 2020 Hyundai Elantra Boasts of a sporty design than outgoing vehicle. The new car comes with a sloping roof making the car look like a 4-Door sports car.
- Hyundai names the new platform as the K3 platform which is a new design from the ground up.
- Hyundai has also done their homework in terms of design as the new car gets bigger dimensions. Height, Width, and length have increased by a certain margin. The car even gets a longer wheelbase opening a bit more room than an existing large room cabin.
- The car comes with all-LED headlights that are integrated with the beautiful large grille adding some positive character to the car.
- It comes with all-new 17″ Alloy wheels that complement the stance of the car.
Interior
- Like the outside, inside the cabin, the new Hyundai scheme is carried forward.
- The car gets a new dash with a dual-tone scheme giving the right amount of airy-ness to the vehicle with the same 4-spoke steering wheel as the new Creta and i20.
- The interior of the car is uplifted by not just one but two 10.25″ screens. One for the infotainment system and the other as the instrument cluster.
- The infotainment system also comes with Hyundai’s smart car tech “Bluelink” with all the bells and whistles like remote start, geofencing, and much more.
