In an uncertain turn of events, Hyundai has silently discontinued the i20 Active in India. The i20 has also been removed from Hyundai’s official website and as per leading media reports, we will not see a BS6 version of the car at a later date as well.
The Hyundai i20 active came with a starting price of Rs. 7.04 lakhs and went upto Rs. 9.24 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

- The Hyundai i20 active was offered in three trims which includes the S, SX and the SX dual-tone.
- The engine on the i20 Active gets its power from a four-cylinder, 1.2-litre petrol unit and a four-cylinder 1.4-litre diesel engine. Both the engine came mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a six-speed manual transmission respectively.
- However, these engines will also be discontinued once the BS6 emission norms kick in by April 1st 2020.
- The last update which the i20 Active received was in the month of October which included features such as LED tail lights, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, six airbags, a 7.0- inch infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear parking camera with sensors and rear AC vents.
- Amongst its rivals stands the Ford freestyle, Honda WR-V, and the Maruti Suzuki s-cross.
