From Iron Man to Endgame, every new flick released by Marvel disrupts the box office. But if there’s one name that surely is the MCU’s lifeblood, it’s the Avengers. Originally consisting of 7 members in the MCU, The Avengers was released back in 2012. Since then, the whole world has been obsessed with them.
From action figures to official merchandise, everything associated with the Avengers become special. And even though there aren’t any “Avengers Edition” vehicles, our imagination surely calls for it. So here’s what could have been India’s Original Avengers Collection: MCU Edition! But before I begin, I’d like to point out that the article is purely based on the way I fantasize about Avengers in terms of Indian Vehicles. With no offence intended, let’s dig in.
-
Nick Fury – Maruti Gypsy
A top spy, unbeatable agent, and the prime recruiter of the original Avengers, Nick Fury is more than just the boss man. He is trustworthy, committed towards the nation, and always ready to serve, much like our very own Maruti Suzuki Gypsy. Launched back in 1985, the Gypsy is a revered senior. Serving religiously for the Army, Police and several other state agencies, the Gypsy is a true boss vehicle. Even for the civilians, the Gypsy has been a strong off-roader and a capable rally-head as well. The Gypsy much like Fury is always out there.

Captain America – Tata Safari
He is classic, he is powerful, and he has a legacy that has seen it all. He is Captain America: The First Avenger. Resonating with the spirit of Cap is our very own Tata Safari. Launched in 1998, the safari has seen the market change quite drastically. Revolutionizing the SUV segment when it first came, the Safari blew up the competition with its rugged capabilities, 2.0-litre turbo engine, and 4WD capabilities.
It seemed as if Tata had developed some kind of “Super-SUV Serum” which the Safari was administered with. As years passed, the Safari rose to become an icon as it continued to evolve through generations. Supporting a revamped costume and a blue theme, it looks as if the Safari has been born again, much like Steve Rogers, who has now chosen to start a new life as well.

Iron Man – MG Gloster
Topped with mind-blowing tech, Iron Man’s strongest footing is innovation. He is fast, powerful, and a brilliant engineer. Something the MG Gloster is good at. Wearing a shiny red “costume”, the Gloster doesn’t just look like Tony’s smart ride, but also feels like one. This is because the Gloster is topped with some top-notch tech, the masses had only experienced courtesy of the Gloster.
This includes an L1 Autonomous Driving System that brings in features like driver fatigue reminder, lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, etc. Moving beyond regular infotainments, Gloster’s i-Smart Infotainment gets voice recognition, e-calling, apps like Gaana and Accuweather, OTA updates and whatnot. Driving the Gloster in full glory, it seems as if it’s got its own version of Jarvis built-in!
-
Thor – Tata Nexon EV
Odinson, God of Thunder, and one of the most evolved characters in the entire MCU. He is “worthy”, powerful, and can do anything to keep his loved ones safe. Something even the Nexon EV doesn’t shy to do. Powered by Thor’s “Electric Charge” the Nexon EV is currently the “worthiest” EV in India. Another achievement of the Nexon is its impeccable safety, which keeps passengers safe at all time. Much like Thor, the Nexon badge has also seen a quick evolution, leading to the very inception of the Nexon EV.
-
Hulk – Toyota Fortuner
Bulky, muscular, aggressive yet smart, Bruce Banners AKA The Hulk, has always been an integral part of the Avengers. In fact, the Avengers without the muscle and brain are quite dysfunctional. When it comes to cars, there’s only one name that has got the “Muscle” and the “Brains”. It is indeed, the cult Toyota Fortuner. Equipped with a powertrain that can take on any terrain, the Fortuner is as tough as it gets. Capable of serving for Lakhs of kilometres without breaking a sweat, the Fortuner also has a subtle calmness to it. Resonating with the Hulk, the Fortuner is associated with power and influence as well.
-
Black Widow – Honda City
Committed, tough, well-balanced and highly capable, Natasha Romanoff has been in the game for very long. Resonating with her inner strength, is India’s beloved C-Segment Queen, the Honda City. Serving for over two decades, the City has been quite formidable among competitors. With each and every generation of the City, always being one of the top-selling sedans in India, it seems as if the City is unbeatable. Even in its current iteration, the Honda City is smart, beautiful, aggressive and top-class, much like our very own Black Widow.
-
Hawk-Eye – Skoda Rapid
A full-time family guy and part-time avenger, Hawk-Eye doesn’t just hit his target but also knows how to keep his loved ones happy. He is balanced, he is focused and most importantly he is resourceful. Matching the vibe is the Skoda Rapid, which has proudly been the choice of several family sedan buyers over the years. But given in the right hands, the Rapid can instantly be turned into a mean machine that can put several other sedans to shame. The Rapid is well-balanced, sharp as an arrow, focused and fun to drive. It even comes with smart infotainment, cruise control, and automatic AC which can keep both families and enthusiast happy.
So this was my take on Avenger’s Indian Spirit Cars. If you have your own version, comment down below, because just like the multiverse, this list too can have several takes!
