Design
The EV9 looks stellar, in one word. It is super sharp, futuristic, and draws a lot of attention. Standing at 4,929mm long, 2,055mm wide, and 1,790mm tall, the Kia EV9 is huge. It lands up in the league of the Range Rovers! It sits on the same Electric Global Modular Platform that houses the Kia EV6. As for any concept car, the EV9 looks very well-detailed, yet maintains a subtle simplicity.

Interior and Features of the Kia EV9
The concept version of the Kia EV9 was surely over the top, but a lot of these things might follow in the production model. It gets twin screens up front, and funky ambient lighting all around the cabin. The steering is spokeless and looks very similar to what we’ve seen on the Tesla Model S Plaid. The cabin consists of 3 rows, which means a 6/7 seater configuration is expected. As far as features are concerned, the EV9 will get complete autonomous driving features with OTA updates. Apart from this, the standard luxury car features will also be present.

Battery and Range
The battery on the Kia EV9 is will be a 77.2kWh unit, the range is not disclosed yet. Kia claims that this battery is capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes! This massive EV is expected to launch with a dual-motor setup for the AWD variants and a single motors setup for the RWD variants.

When will the Kia EV9 launch in India?
The EV9 will go into production in late 2023, and an India launch is unlikely in the same year. Depending on how the Kia EV6 performs in India, the EV9 may make its way to our roads in mid-2024. Expected prices lie between Rs. 75 – Rs. 80 Lakhs.
