After having a tough competition with its sister company Hyundai for the top spot in SUV sales Kia is now coming up with new features and updates to its mid variants of Seltos to rival Creta which recently got a facelift.
Kia Seltos Transmission
The engines remain unchanged and the SUV comes with three BS6 compliant engines.
- A 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine outputting 138 bhp and 242 Nm torque.
- The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 113bhp and 144Nm torque
- And a 1.5-Litre diesel engine with 113bhp and 250Nm torque.
- All of these engines are powered by both Manual and Automatic gearboxes.

This update comes after Hyundai Creta which had its facelift released recently would make the consumer gravitate more towards it as simply because it offers more features than Kia Seltos. This has prompted the later to takes steps necessary to ensure Hyundai doesn’t take the top spot from them.
Kia Seltos Features
The SUV comes in two trims which have various variants in them the Tech Line and GT Line. Tech Line offers five variants, HT E, HT K, HT K Plus, HT X and HT X plus. The GT Line offers three, GT K, GT X and GT X Plus.
According to dealers, the following changes are coming to the variants.
- HTK plus will get a rear USB port and some other non-disclosed features and will get a marginal price hike.
- Top-end variants will get a dual-tip exhaust unit and many more features.
Currently, Kia Seltos comes with
- LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps,
- 10.25-inch HD touchscreen navigation with Kia’s UVO Connect system
- Smart key with push-button start.
- Ventilated and eight-way power-adjustable driver seat.
- Blind view monitor, 360-degree camera and front parking sensors.
With some changes and updates, Kia will be able to save its top spot in the SUV market against its rivals and mainly against Hyundai Creta.
