Kia Sonet was showcased at the latest edition of the Indian Auto Expo. The Korean Automaker showcased a variety of cars but the Sonet looked really promising for the Indian market. In recent days the production-ready version of the Sonet was spied testing on the road.
The spy shots suggest that the mid-level variant of the SUV was spotted testing. The test mule was completely covered in camouflage but we were still able to make out some details which were visible from under the cover.
The test mule of the Kia Sonet had the turn indicators on the fenders which surely indicate that it was a mid variant or a base variant. Though nothing can be confirmed usually, the top-end models of the modern-day cars have turn indicators on ORVMs. Further, the test mule also had non-diamond cut alloy wheels, LED tail lights, high mounted stop lamp and rear bumper with faux skid plate.
Till now we know that Kia has codenamed this vehicle as the ‘QYI’ but it was showcased at the Auto Expo as the Kia Sonet. The car inherits some of the key features that make it look like a Kia family member. The iconic tiger-nose grille is here on this one for sure. The car also gets LED headlamps.
Kia’s will also offer their UVO Connect technology on the Sonet making it a more preferable option among the buyers. There will be a large infotainment system and BOSE sourced audio system that makes the Sonet a perfect car to go for!
Kia Sonet will be the third model from the automaker’s lineup for India. After the huge success of the Seltos, Kia launched the Carnival in India. The new car is planned to be launched in India in August 2020. This car will rival Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Hyundai Venue once launched!
