Amidst the nation-wide lockdown due to the on-going coronavirus outbreak Japanese automobile manufacturer, Toyota has revealed the limited-edition of the Alphard and the Vellfire MPV dubbed GoldenEye and Type Gold, respectively. However, these limited editions will only feature various cosmetic tweaks but the engine specifications remain the same.
Both the Toyota Vellfire and the Alphard MPV are offered with either front-wheel-drive (FWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) layouts and get a choice of either 2.5-litre petrol and 2.5-litre petrol hybrid engine unit capable of generating 117hp and 198Nm of torque along with two electric motors generating 143hp front and 68hp rear paired with an AWD layout.

Although all the major tweaks on the Toyota Vellfire are majority cosmetic in nature and starting with the exterior. We will get to see a jet-black finish on the grille, chrome accents around the side glass-house and door handle, oversized front bumper inserts and tailgate and barring the strip on the side-skirt which has been carried over from the previous model.

Coming to the Toyota Alphard we will get to see a gold-finished Alphard logo on the front and the back and a revised tailgate sport darkened-chrome elements with chrome accents.
On the Inside, the Toyota Vellfire Goldeneye will get a new seat upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and special wood inserts and black roof-liner. Not only that even the smart keys will have gold accents for both the models.
Although these special edition MPVs are based on similar trims and support some premium features such as a10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, JBL sound system, ambient lighting and more.
