It’s been reported that Mahindra is working hard in developing an electric powertrain for the XUV 300 EV for our Indian automotive market. Now the XUV 300 EV was spied in camo testing on road.

Features | Inside and Outside
The basic structure and features are expected to be the same as the range-topping petrol or diesel XUV300. This includes:
- First in segment Dual-zone climate control and dual-zone climate control.
- The car is likely to get a plush interior with a sunroom lifting the cabin a notch.
- The XUV300 EV is expected to have both AC charging with a DC-fast charging at the dedicated stations.
- The new offering from Mahindra electric car is likely to have a battery cell exclusively developed by LG Chem, a Korean battery manufacturer.

Powertrain
The first Mahindra’s car in the EV market is assumed to be powered by a 130hp electric motor driving the front wheels. The range out of a full charge is about 300km which is considered to be a very good range in the segment.
Launch Date
There are no official dates when this electric vehicle will be launched but it is assumed that it’ll be something next year. It is a while before the prices of the car are unveiled but it is expected to be priced competitively. This is because of the leading specs that the car offers.
Rivals
There are not many rivals in this electric vehicle segment. But this offering from Mahindra will be competing against the liked of Tata Nexon EV which is in itself a very good car according to the pricing.
